About three days into running everyday I made a goal of running everyday for 21 days. A few days later I decided it had to be 5k not just running.
Since then I have been waking up at 5:30 every morning. Last night I went out at 10:45 and finished 5k for the 21st day.
This morning with no conscious decision I slept till 7:45. Interesting.....

So, are you going to make a 22nd day? Is it truly habit-forming?
ReplyDeleteUhm apparently not....
ReplyDeleteI've created a bit of a goal myself. Pam has signed up for a relay team running the Duke City Marathon this October. Her leg will be 10K. She and I have started (this week) working up to that. I'm enormous and out of shape (and enormously out of shape (and of enormous shape (which I need to get out of))). At this point, we are having to star with jog 1 minute, walk 2 minues repeating over half an hour every other day. We'll work up from there. I get more exercise out of it, because I'm wearing this 50-lb built-in biological weight belt around my middle. As I get in better shape, I suspect that will get lighter.
ReplyDeleteSo now your goal is to rest and heal, and then to find a schedule for running that works with your schedule for everything else. 21 days is a lot of training! You absolutely deserve a break!
