I have been thinking about this. In Chaos theory, it is very possible to do the same thing over and over again and get different results a statistically significant number of times. The concept is that items or events called strange attractors can pull a seemingly stable system off ballance, and when there are enough strange attractors leading it in one general direction, the whole system can change almost unrecognizably.
And wouldn't you agree that Santa Fe is full of strange attractors?
